why must we have small talk?

Why must we talk about things that don’t matter?

Why do people feel so uncomfortable talking about deeper things?

Why is silence such an unwanted thing? Must we fill every living minute with noise?

As an Autistic adult, i've gone through my whole life wondering what the point was of saying meaningless things at the beginning of every conversation. I have always preferred to talk about things to have character and really provide something for life.

And why is silence such a hard thing?
Silence is a pleasure to someone like me, it's where we find so much that we can't hear or comprehend or know when there's noise and distraction.
Silence is a gift and not enough people tap into it.
