when God is telling you something that doesn't make sense.. yet

God's plan is not ours
god's plan is perfect
our plan gets us in trouble
and then we think "why didn't I follow Him?"
um, because we have a problem with control

we are not supposed to understand God.
if we understood what He is doing, there would be no need for faith, no need for a relationship with Him. He didn't create us to be able to flourish on our own, He created us to need Him.

God always wants the best for us
and we look at the world around us and think.. "but that will make me look weird and stupid"

so...?
what's your point?

would you rather look weird and stupid and find out that what you did made a huge difference in hindsight?

or would you rather do your own thing, not get results you're hoping for, and have God use someone else that has the guts to do His work?

if you're waiting for rain, and just standing their holding an umbrella, you're wasting your time.
you should be making sure you have rain boots and a coat, and maybe a boat.
