The number 7 and why it's a Bible number

When it comes to the biblical meanings of number 7, we have to say that it is the number of perfection and completeness. ... According to the Biblenumber 7 is the number of completeness. Actually, it is known that after 7 days the whole world was completed and God has done his work.

The Seven churches of the Revelation.
The Seven Churches of Revelation are ancient churches that St John wrote about in the Bible. Each church received a letter calling them to repent for their sins and correct their current course. When the letters to the churches were sent, there were active Christian communities in each of the towns

2 commandments, or 10?

In the New Testament (2 commandments from Jesus)

In the Old Testament (10 commandments from Mount Sinai)

The 2 commandments Jesus gave in the New Testament covers everything in the old law (the 10 commandments).

What are the different types of Bibles?

There is only one Bible has been translated into over 2000 languages. Currently, there are more than 40 different versions in English, from the King James Version, which was published in 1611 and is still going strong, to modern versions, some of them in very simplified English.
www.quora.com

Here are the names of the main religious texts for the world's largest religions:
  • Bible - Christianity. (Jesus is the Son of the Trinity of God, lived a perfect life, died on a cross and physically rose again, and ascended back to heaven.)
  • Qur'an - Islam. (There is no Jesus, Predestination, There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God)
  • Gita - Hinduism. (Brahma is the first god in the Hindu triumvirate, or trimurti. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Vishnu and Shiva. Vishnu is the preserver of the universe, while Shiva's role is to destroy it in order to re-create.)
  • Torah - Judaism. (Jews do not believe that Jesus was divine or the "son of God," or the Messiah prophesied in Jewish scripture. He is seen as a "false messiah," meaning someone who claimed (or whose followers claimed for him) the mantle of the Messiah but who ultimately did not meet the requirements. Monotheistic God.)
  • Guru Granth Sahib - Sikhism. (Sikhs do not believe that Jesus is God because Sikhism teaches that God is neither born, nor dead. Jesus was born and lived a human life, therefore, he cannot be God. However, Sikhs still show respect to all beliefs. Sikhs believes in one omnipresent, formless God. Sikhs commonly call God, Waheguru (Wa-HEY-guru).)
  • Tripitaka - Buddhism. (In the remote Himalayan land of Kashmir, Jesus (known then as "Issa") lived to a ripe old age as a Buddhist monk, according to Mr. Kersten. Buddha (Siddhārtha Gautama) insisted he was human and that there is no almighty, benevolent God.)
  • Authorised King James Version of the Bible, and the Book of Mormon - Mormon/LDS (Mormons believe in God the Father, the Son (Christ), and the Holy Ghost existing as three separate individual beings. also believe that Jesus Christ is the essential path for salvation. Avoid the cross and focus on his life. Mormons believe in the crucifixion, resurrection and divinity of Jesus Christ. Followers claim that God sent more prophets after Jesus's death.)

Why is there a Sabbath?

On the 7th day, He rested.. Genesis.

There is a Sabbath (day of rest) because He rested.

He created everything.. literally everything in the universe.. and then He rested. Therefore, as followers of God, we rest, to remind ourselves that work is not life. We keep ourselves away from busyness as a reminder that rest is essential.

Therapeutic Gospel vs Biblical Gospel

What is the Biblical Gospel?
The gospel message is about the Messiah/Christ, Jesus, coming to earth as the Son of the trinity of God, being born of a virgin girl, living a life of perfection so He could spread the truth/news about the grace and mercy and goodness and wrath of God the Father, and then died on the cross, taking all of the sins of all mankind on Himself, so that we can repent of our sins and join God in heaven for all eternity.

What is the Therapeutic Gospel?
This fake gospel is geared towards making people feel good about themselves, reassuring them that they can be happy, and they are inherently good. There is no need to pray or have a relationship with a creator because you can have everything you want by getting there on your own. You can do anything you want and God will love you, no matter what. Because you're authentic self is what God wants you to be. Be who you are in the inside. Be the real you and God will bless you.

Isaiah 53

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Surely he took up our pain and are our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before it's shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.

He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LRD will prosper in his hand.

After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.

Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the sails with the strong, because he poured his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

2 Corinthians 5:21

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Nahum 1:2

The Lord is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and rage. He takes revenge on all who oppose him and continues to rage against his enemies!

Romans 12:19

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, "I will take revenge; I will pay them back," says the Lord.
-----------------

God is the judge, not us

And if he's unjust, he's unloving
Because love is just, and justice is love.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Why is the Bible important?

I think we should start this conversation with.. what is the Bible?

"The Bible is the holy scripture of the Christian religion, purporting to tell the history of the Earth from its earliest creation to the spread of Christianity in the first century A.D. " www.history.com

So why would that be important?
A historical document that goes all the way back to the beginning of physical life with eye witness accounts of historical events and the possibility of their being someone who is the savior of the world, not mention foresight into the end of existence. I would think that would be an amazingly important document, or collection of documents collected into one book.

Now imagine that the documents are correct in their entirety, even give or take a "jot or tittle". Wouldn't this mean that the contents of this collection are feasibly true?
Wouldn't that make them ... Truth?

So please tell me.. why is the Bible important?

what does common sense mean?

What is common sense?

How common is this ..  sense?

"sound practical judgment concerning everyday matters, or a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge in a manner that is shared by nearly all people."

"good sense and sound judgment in practical matters."

"sound and prudent judgment based on simple perception of the situation or facts"

It doesn't seem like this is very prevalent right now.

Can we go back to this, please? People all in agreement about what is practical and understandable?

Amy Grant song "El Shaddai" got me thinking

"El shaddai, el shaddai,
El-elyon na adonia,
Age to age you're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El shaddai, el shaddai,
Erkamka na adonai,
We will praise and lift you high,
El shaddai. "

But what do these names mean?
I've always been curious about why I've seen YWH and G-D, too.
different religion?
supposed to be more respectful?
That's what I've heard in years past.

(answers from www.gotquestions.org)

El shaddai: “God Almighty,” “The Mighty One of Jacob” (Genesis 49:24Psalm 132:2,5) – speaks to God’s ultimate power over all.

El-elyon: “Most High" (Deuteronomy 26:19) – derived from the Hebrew root for “go up” or “ascend,” so the implication is of that which is the very highest. El Elyon denotes exaltation and speaks of absolute right to lordship.

Yahweh/Jehovah: “LORD” (Deuteronomy 6:4Daniel 9:14) – strictly speaking, the only proper name for God. Translated in English Bibles “LORD” (all capitals) to distinguish it from Adonai, “Lord.” The revelation of the name is given to Moses “I Am who I Am” (Exodus 3:14). This name specifies an immediacy, a presence. Yahweh is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance (Psalm 107:13), forgiveness (Psalm 25:11) and guidance (Psalm 31:3).

Adonia: “Lord” (Genesis 15:2Judges 6:15). used in place of YHWH, which was thought by the Jews to be too sacred to be uttered by sinful men. In the Old Testament, YHWH is more often used in God’s dealings with His people, while Adonai is used more when He deals with the Gentiles. (ahhhhhhh.)

Erkamka na adonai: the expression means “We will love You, Oh, Lord.” taken from Psalm 18:1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength

Elohim: the plural form of Eloah, which accommodates the doctrine of the Trinity. From the Bible’s first sentence, the superlative nature of God’s power is evident as God (Elohim) speaks the world into existence (Genesis 1:1).

what's the difference? sin

So a sin is based on acting against divine law,
a transgression is an act or violation of a law or command IN GENERAL,
and iniquity is based on wickedness, so coming from a larger more serious moral scale.

I always wondered what the difference was between the words that the Bible used for sins.
"He was crushed for our iniquities"
"He was pierced for our transgressions"
But they all come from a place of doing something against divine law = sin

So on the cross, Jesus bore the weight of ALL types of  sin, no matter how we define them as human beings. He took all of that on the cross with him.. no wonder God the Father had to look away.

it applies to me.. it applies to you.

Matthew 5:43-48

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

- that you may be children of your Father in heaven. we are to focus on how he loves unconditionally.. in order to love people that don't love you back, you must love them with God's love. our human nature would have nothing of that.

He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

- we are all equal in His eyes. none of us is better than the other. we should not act like any of us deserves more or better than the other.

46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48

- if you do only what you want to do, stick to your comfort zones, stick to what you know, and never push outside of that, expand yourself, learn and grow and change, you don't allow yourself fullness of life. God wants our lives to be full and for us to spread his unconditional love everywhere. you can't do that living in a bubble and hiding behind other people.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Forsaken on Easter

refers to: the opening words of Psalm 22, translated as "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me" in the King James Version. one of the Sayings of Jesus on the cross, quoting Psalm 22.
In Luke, Jesus says “Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” And I don’t think Jesus gets any more vividly portrayed in the Psalms than in Psalm 22, likely written a thousand years before he came on the scene.
www.isjesusalive.com

On the cross Jesus said “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Mark 15:34b). Jesus felt abandoned, forsaken, because He really was abandoned in fulfillment of the Scriptures. Jesus, who knew no sin, was made to be sin on behalf of all who would believe (2 Corinthians 5:21a)
www.theexaltedchrist.com

When Jesus hung on the Cross and died, at that time, he was carrying all the sins of the world, and God the Father had to look away from His son.. abandoning Him.

when I feel bad about going to bed early..

I feel like I have to have reasons to do things that would be considered a normal self-care thing, but because of anxiety, I have the need to speak it out as if I have to validate things like they are excuses.

reasons why I go to bed early every night.

1. I do get tired

2. Either I need to have the quiet or just relax away from the noise of the day and wind down.

3. I need time to myself.

4. A lot of the day I'm vertical and my back and neck need to have horizontal time. I figure what better way to do that than lay in bed.

5. It helps me get some more physical rest.

6. I don't watch tv with my husband before bed anymore, and I'm kind of okay with that, because I'm not really into that much tv anymore.

7. Sometimes when I get in bed I'm not tired anymore, so I'm wide awake, and that sucks health wise, because my body makes extra adrenaline and I can't help it.

8. It does help me be awake and ready in the morning, I feel more rested when I go to bed soon after the kids.

What's the difference between beliefs and worldview?

A belief system is the set of interrelated beliefs held by an individual or society.

A belief system is similar to a worldview but is based on conscious beliefs.

Worldviews are sets of beliefs and assumptions that express how cultures interpret their experience.

Worldviews are essential for humans to make sense of their life but can be skewed by bias, stereotype, and prejudice.

A worldview connects us with the inner workings of meaning.

Our belief systems help us find a lens with which to view the world.

So in a sense, our belief system and worldview are one and the same, or at least compliment/effect each other.

(basic information found by using www.google.com to search the topic)

Listening to God's word and what happens when we do

Deuteronomy 28:1
If you will LISTEN DILIGENTLY TO THE VOICE of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

How do you know that's it's Gods voice?
Does it line up with God's word?
Do you have to trust Him?

What are the commandments they are commanding?
10 commandments -
1. I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other God's before me.
2. You shall not make any graven images/idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honor your Father and Mother.
6. You shall not kill.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not lie to anybody.
10. You shall not covet other people's things.

God set you high above all earthly nations - this is talking about at the end when it's the difference between heaven or hell. When we listen to Him and do His work, when he tells us "well done, good and faithful servant", we are lifted up into heaven, above where we live physically into the realm of the perfect and spiritual.

When our lives line up with what God is calling us to do, we will have VERY hard time, but we will also thrive in grace and peace.. a peace that doesn't feel like any other peace. It's a soul peace, that leads to joy. So much better than the happiness everything else offers.

oh heck no... "speak and it shall happen"

I saw this conversation while going through my Facebook feed.. meaning this is someone I know.. someone I'm close to.

"I just blocked someone cuz she told me I must not be a Christian if I had a double mastectomy and did not allow God to be my healer: I allowed the western Drs to do it and that's of the devil..
what the what?!?!?"
AND THE RESPONSE
"I despise the people who claim one doesn't have enough faith to 'cure' their ailments... What a disservice and horrid representation of true Christianity. I'm so sorry.. "

This is NOT of God.
Science is the learning of what God made.
Medicine is found from using what earth gives us.
One of God's gifts is the gift of healing, and our minds are meant to learn and to share with others.

Modern medicine, when used correctly, is an amazing thing to take care of the bodies that fall apart because of SIN.

DO NOT tell people they don't have enough faith because they ask for help from medical professionals, instead of dying by themselves from something that could have been helped.

How dare you.

This is like the whole prophetic word of "you can speak it into existence". Just because you have the capability of saying a word doesn't give you any power to make it happen.
I can say "I'll be healed by next month", stop taking my meds, stop taking care of myself, and IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Romans 8:3.. the flesh is weak, this is why THE GOSPEL!

Because we, as people, can not do what is needed for salvation on our own, God sent Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice.

He came down as a human being to be who we are, but without flaw (like the sacrifices in the Old Testament - flawless and sinless) because we are born sinful since Adam and Eve. Now there is grace through the blood that was spilled to redeem us (like the blood that was painted over the homes during passover).

Instead of sending us to hell where we belong, He sees the blood over the doorway, the blood on the altar, the blood of His son.. covering all of it. If we believe that He did this for us, realize WHY he did this for us, know that we can never be perfect on our own because we are sinful, repent and lay those sins down at his feet, and turn to live the way He calls us to live.. THIS is the way.
THIS is the gospel.
and THIS is why we cannot get to heaven with Him.

Who or what is "the world" in Christian terms?

The biblical definition of "the world" is
anyone (person) who lives on earth and does not know God
or know of God
or choose to have a relationship with God.
Because they do not know Him.

Knowing OF Him doesn't count.
Anyone can know there is a God.
But unless they have a relationship with Him, they are not counted in His family,
therefore they are outside of the "family of God".

If you are not a believer in Christianity (the gospel of Jesus and His life and sacrifice),
you are not part of the family of God.
That means you are part of the world outside of Him.

If two people are not believing the same thing, they cannot know each other fully
because they do not share the same core beliefs. They are not family, in that sense.

a different way to look at Conviction

I always thought
conviction
was this huge word that meant "oh my gosh, huge moment where I feel terribly wrong about
everything bad I've done and now I know what I need to change."

But I never felt that.
So I've always been confused about the word.
What does it mean?

Well, I've noticed recently during conversations and real-life experiences that I have conviction
when it comes to how I live.
I am convicted every day that I should be about my heavenly Fathers' work, and not worry about the human response.
I am convicted often that I'm looking in the wrong places for my answers when I should be listening to the Holy Spirit.
It shouldn't matter what I share with people or tell people, as long as I'm following the path that God has laid out for me. (This means living like Jesus did/would and respecting and loving, yes, that means with judgment and grace. They are both valid and necessary.)

Conviction isn't always this big moment where you realize everything you ever needed to change,
which your response is to fall on your face and then go upheave your whole life.

Conviction is a daily thing.
As it should be.

I'm sorry .. what? Christian atheism.. *scratches head.

Christian Atheism? What fresh hell is this?

Christian atheism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search

Christian atheism is a form of Christianity that rejects theistic claims of Christianity, but draws its beliefs and practices from Jesus' life and/or teachings as recorded in the New Testament Gospels and other sources.

Christian atheism takes many forms:

I'm sorry, what kind of Christianity rejects the idea of it being theistic?
It is based on the single divinity of God.
That's what Christianity.. is.
The fundamentals of it are based on the happening in the New Testament Gospels (NOT other sources).. But Jesus was one of the Godhead.. the Son of the Three in One.
this makes absolutely no sense to me.
You can't have an ethics system without something to build it on, you can't base a Christian belief system without Christ (therefore "culture" doesn't matter), you can't have a solid belief in one God if you believe he's not transcendent or interventionist, you can't find God in the world because the world doesn't fulfill who He is, He created the world and everything in it.. You can't follow Jesus if you believe He is who He says He is.

There is no basis for atheism in Christianity..
Again.. this makes absolutely no sense.

Anxiety - dealing with it

 It’s lying to me
Telling me that what I’m doing isn’t enough, so why bother

Telling me that people are tolerating me
But i know better
So I’m pushing back
I’m talking to those people
And seeing for myself that i matter

It’s telling me that my mission field is stupid
And nobody wants to hear about what i believe in
That my faith is stupid

But i know better
So i try harder
And i remind myself that fear is a liar
And that Satan is the Father of it

I disconnect from “expectations” and “requirements”

Give my mind a break from what i feel like I have to do
And literally let myself just feel
And do what i know I’m good at

I’m becoming capable of disconnecting from my anxiety
Instead of letting it overwhelm me
So thankful for the strength that I’ve gained
And the peace that I’m finding
And coping skills I’m adapting to
And the people in my life that show me and tell me not just i can do it.. but I’m doing it.. I’m living it
I’m thriving through it

Dear God, I’m so thankful
And grateful for my journey
Even in the middle of what wants to drag me down
I’m seeing victory
And accomplishment
Through Christ

I’m diving in

1 Peter 1:8-9 a relationship without a visual

 Faith without sight

And acknowledging the inner change that happens when you believe with no visual

The peace, the change of mind and heart

The true feeling that is greater than happiness, namely joy

escatology and metaphors

what is eschatology?
a part of theology concerned with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind.

so the theology of the end times, where we go when we die.
studying revelation, ....
the gates of hell and heaven, etc

what is a metaphor?
a figure of speech where a word or phrase is applied to an object or action that is not a literal application.
symbolic, abstract.

thinking about how to read something as we research and hear different information.
do we read it as literal or do we not?
how to understand things.

(I'm starting to see how these two things effect each other and how we attempt to reason things into the way we want them to be.)

about prayer

How do you view prayer?

What is a prayer life?

If we confess our sings, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
Hebrews 8:12

From my Bible study on Bible.com
"You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
John 14:14
Dear Jesus, can you keep all of my family healthy, safe, and rich forever? In YOUR NAME, amen.
We've all asked some doozies in His name, and we've seen requests for short of....

what God means. ;)

Ephesians 3:16 + 17

When we pray, God wants us to ask for things we want. But ultimately, we should want what He wants for us.
Like when a child wants a toy and we have to say no, because we know the big picture of needs, not because we don't want them to have their wants, but we know better.
Like when you get older and you want a relationship or you want a job, but sometimes a moment of heartbreak (not getting the job or losing the person) can be a set up for something so much better. This is a way to remember there is possible purpose in our pain.
Being dependent on God makes our relationship with Him deeper, and then we learn to trust and love Him more.

Prayer doesn't have to look a certain way. He just wants us to talk to Him.
Whether we feel the need to fall at His feet and spill our guts about our wrong doings, or to say hi and wave to Him during the day, or to spend an hour immersing ourselves in silence, meditating on His promises. There doesn't have to be a perfect schedule, it can be after the kids get on the bus in the morning, sitting in your car before you go into work, or folding your hands at every meal. Talk to Him like you would the most important person in your life. Text Him or "call" Him about anything and everything.

David, in the Psalms, holds nothing back. He's completely open and raw with God.

Matthew 6 - practicing your beliefs

MATTHEW 6

Giving to the Needy
1  “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2  “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Prayer
5  “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9  “This, then, is how you should pray:
“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10  your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11  Give us today our daily bread.
12  And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13  And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
14  For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.15But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Fasting
16  “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,18so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Treasures in Heaven
19  “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22  “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.23But if your eyes are unhealthy,  your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24  “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Do Not Worry
25  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28  “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
