You don't have to pray about everything..

 Just do something for God!

It's like a child growing up with a mom

"mom can I?"

At some point the child shouldn't be asking the mom anymore, they should just know what they can and cannot and should and should not do.

God gives you the abilities to do things on your own.

You don't have to pray about everything.

What if God's appearance isn't what you think?

Isaiah 53 1
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to himnothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Jesus physical appearance..
This link is a fantastic read. They do a great job and narrowing down the time he was born in, the culture, the possible height and descriptions from different verses.

The reason Jesus didn't have a description of what He looked like is because it didn't matter.
His life was about what He was doing, it had nothing to do with how we saw Him on the outside.

The armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. If you are not completely prepared, the enemy is very likely to knock you down and kill you.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I have other posts on if evil and the devil and angels and all that are real. Yeah, here's your sign. The struggle in the spiritual realm is very, very real.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Always be having a conversation, a "pep talk" if you will, will God. Talking to Him, also known as prayer, is crucial to knowing what you're supposed to do on the battle field.

Life is the battle field. If you are prepared with all the the things God has given you, you'll be prepared. This doesn't mean the devil won't beat you hard, but it does mean you'll be ready for the battle.

The fruits of the Spirit

 Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law.

These are all things that God instills inside of us when we decide we are going to live for Him.

When we decide to do things His way instead of on our own, these qualities are given to us.

Now that's not saying you can't have these qualities and be a non-believer. But when you're doing things for God with these at the core, it's that much more amazing and you are that much more blessed. The smallest thing we do for Him is a big deal, no matter what.

Forbidden Fruit - what is your Kryptonite?

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbidden_fruit

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_(symbolism)

In the Old Testament, the apple was significant of the fall of man; in the New Testament, it is an emblem of the redemption from that fall. ... The phrase 'the apple of your eye' comes from verses in Deuteronomy 32:10, Psalm 17:8 Proverbs 7:2, and Zechariah 2:8, implying an object or person who is greatly valued

https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2017/04/30/526069512/paradise-lost-how-the-apple-became-the-forbidden-fruit

In the Garden of Eden, there was only one thing God told Adam and Eve they couldn't do.

If they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they would die.

Die?

no Perish.

They would understand what good and bad meant, and their beautiful pure connection to God would be broken.

Satan, the Serpent (at that time) used this "loophole" to lure Eve to eat it.

She would know things she wasn't supposed to, and that made her curious, and in time, made her do something she shouldn't, because of the devil.

The first sin.

Adam trusted her. Sure, he knew which tree the fruit was from, but since she had done it, why not, right?

Because someone does something and it looks like their okay, we do it too, don't we?

We think "hey it can't be that bad".

Do you know why God made rules? Does a child know why parents make rules? In order to have your best life. In order to live refreshed and beautiful lives.

You can't do that when you follow sin. Unfortunately, now, because of what Satan did to Eve, and because she allowed herself to make that choice (yes, even in the beautiful perfect garden, she had a choice).. now we are born impure. We are born into sin.

What would be your thing? What would be the item or thought or thing that would make you choose bad over good? Is it something you're addicted to? Is it something you've always wanted to do and you have it on your bucket list, but you know it's not right, but you refuse to erase it anyway?

The hardest thing is knowing and admitting what yours is, the next hardest thing is to say it out loud, and bring it to God. But I challenge you and I dare you. Say the word out loud. In a quiet space, speak it into the space around you, and give it to Him. He's waiting.

Which Jesus do you follow? Hint: there's only one.

I'm sorry.. when did being a good man mean you're the Savior of the world?
Jesus didn't water words down, He offended people, because He spoke truth, no matter what.
Or he kept his mouth shut because they wouldn't believe Him anyway.
They were stuck and opinionated.
The only treasure He promises is what we build up in Heaven by being faithful and doing His work here on earth.
There is a heaven and there is a hell, we aren't all getting through the pearly gates.
Some of us, probably most of us, will burn because of how we have decided to live and how we portray Him to others.
He does not give us what we want.. our health and our finances and our happiness are not what's important to Him. He BLESSES us with those, or the ability to share Him THROUGH those when we submit to Him and follow His path.
He does not overlook sin.. honestly, I think we have become numb living within the world to know what is sin and what isn't. We have created this "edge of the pool" where we think it's okay to just dip our toes in instead of getting drenched. The lifeguard/"God" is sitting there to help us no matter what, right?

There is nothing wishy washy about His commands.
The Ten Commandments are valid all throughout time. They are commands that do not fade and fail, no matter what happens to the pieces of rock themselves, the laws written on them will never change. You can find them in your Bible, or even search online.

We are not to unify ourselves with people who don't believe in Him. We aren't supposed to get into relationships with other people that are intimate and think "Oh I can change them. They'll see how I live and they'll become better." The likeliness of that is slim to none. It's more likely that you are going to be the one to change your values and be okay with living in sin than they are to try and come out of it. Be friends with people, connect as acquaintances, and be a light and a witness in their lives. But please, I beg you, please do not involve yourself in anything intimate with someone who doesn't believe the same way you do. This is being called "unequally yolked" and it's spoken about and warned against in the Bible.
You are not meant to love yourself first and gratify all your needs. Yes, loving who you are is important, but making that your life goal, finding all your value in you and not having to lean on or be connected to the God who created you; this is wrong. He is the one who values you 100% and that will never change. No wonder it's a struggle to find happiness and self love on your own.. you weren't meant to do that alone. God is the only one whose acceptance for you JUST AS YOU ARE will ever mean anything.
We are not meant to be unified with the ways of the world, and we are not meant to tolerate sins of the flesh. We are meant to stand against them and speak truth to the world and be warriors for God. That's why He gave us the fruit of the Spirit and His armor. (That list will be covered in another blog post.)

Please, believers in Christ, do not bend.
Find your backbone in the one who created your backbone.
Don't let your earthly mind overwhelm and conquer the strength He has given you to stand against sin.

Where is God in tragedy?

AKA why do bad things happen?
Bad things?
What are bad things?
What makes something a tragedy?

And how do you know God ISN'T there?
Because something bad happens?

Bad things are going to happen, no matter what.
And "bad" is relative. A tragedy, I can understand. Covid is tragedy. People dying from a vaccine en mass because it's something we've never dealt with before, that's tragedy.

But that doesn't mean God isn't there.
We were never promised light in the middle of everything.
God uses people.
God uses circumstances.
God is in the small stuff.
And He's never left.
We just need to exercise our faith.. and look for Him.

From JennaDanielle.com

What is Faith?

the Bible defines it
"Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we cannot see"

Being sure of what we hope for..
Do you know about the things you have hope in?
Hope = a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Are you certain about what you can't see?
Do you know that the wind is real?
Are you sure you have feelings?

Faith is knowing that there is something bigger than you that works and connects to you, and it doesn't have to be "known", it just is. And you KNOW that it is.. because invisible or not, you connect with it and you feel it. It drives you.
And everyone has faith in something.
What do you have faith in?

A little on the AntiChrist
https://www.harvestbiblechapel.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/10-Characteristics-of-the-AntiChrist.pdf

I've heard a lot of dispute about "this person/church did or said something that's not in the Bible" or "this pastor speaks about (yada yada)".

I'm grateful that people are looking out for others, but on the other hand, I believe that some of these people really want to just stir things up as well.

Please do your own homework, if you want to get into it, and figure things out for yourself. Youtube is not the best place to find out if a pastor is preaching correctly or not. ;)

why do we fear dying?

https://www.theguardian.com/science/blog/2017/jul/25/we-fear-death-but-what-if-dying-isnt-as-bad-as-we-think

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/318895

What is so scary about dying?

I guess for me, I don't really fear being gone from this earth because I don't feel like my body is mine anyway.

I have a dissociative disorder, which means I have out of body experiences because my brain and my body separate at times. So honestly, my spirit doesn't really feel at home in my human form.

That's probably why I'm okay with the fact that I know I, internally, psychologically, spiritually will be gone from this earth someday and I'm okay with that.

I go through pain all the time, so pain isn't as big a deal for me.

Is it a fear of leaving things behind?

leaving people behind? I know my husband will be a mess, if I pass away before him. But I think that's up to God to take care of his heart, and to have people surrounding him and taking care of him. My husband has people that will do that.

And I don't do that much financially for the family, so there's not much of a loss there. (Maybe it's because I'm autistic, I think about everything so literally, and there's not much feeling connected to it.)

earthly belongings not being taken care of?

I have thought of some of these things, but none of them really stick for me.

Proof of Salvation - Do you know?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKJ3b2LO9nY&t=594s

Do you believe that the story of Jesus is a true story? That this was a man, the human form of God, who was born of a girl who had never had sex, lived a life free from sin (not free from peer pressure and more), CHOSE to not sin because He knew what his life was for. He lived until 30 years old as a regular carpenter, and then started a ministry that lasted only three years, living on the road, being followed by 12 disciples (all men), being mobbed and spit on among many other atrocities, SHOWING that He was God in humans form by performing miracles and knowing and speaking things even the "religious leader" didn't know, or had only heard in the ancient text.. and then was whipped, tortured, and murdered on a cross all because He loved all the people of the world, and He wanted to have a relationship with all of them. So he took all of our sins on His shoulders and carried them down to hell and left them there (I can't image how big and heavy that burden was), and then ascending into heaven. (Keep in mind, his body was placed in a tomb, visibly placed and wrapped in a borrowed tomb with a massive boulder rolled in front of it.. and his body vanished with the cloth remaining.. what?!)

Who does that?! Um, only the One God who is real and wants us to know about Him and live connected to Him and share everything about Him to everyone we knows! And the only way we can be "saved" by Him is by wanting to be in relationship with him, and accepting that forgiveness for all of it is because He gives us grace.

This knowledge and this relationship is the only way we're ever going to get to a place called heaven (yes, I said a place. It's real). If we know this amazing truth and we don't share it, we keep it to ourselves, anybody who has NOT heard it or who has turned it down is going to a place called hell (yes, I said a place again. Because.. it's also real).

What's your choice?
And do you know you are saved by faith?
Have you accepted His grace?

Faith in the Incarnate Son of God
1Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands3In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
6This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth7For there are three that testify: 8the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Following the law

"give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's" -

We have laws on purpose.
Nobody ever said we have to agree with the laws.
We do need to think through the laws that are placed and hold them up to God's standards. But if the laws that are in charge of us do not speak against that, we are to obey.

Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities.

Mark 12
16So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered. 17Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.And they marveled at Him.  1

Genesis nine.. a promise

GENESIS 9

God’s Covenant With Noah
1Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. Enjoy your wives, have babies, making more people.
2The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. 3Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. Before now the animals didn't fear humans because we were given a vegan diet. And then once Adam and Eve sinned and were kicked out of Eden, they were given orders for which kind of animals were okay to eat. Now, after the flood, all animals were given to humans to consume. Before, God gave them all the vegetation, and now God gave them everything to eat
4“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. In order to eat animals, you have to kill them first (and because they are afraid of you, hunting started. You would have to track them down because they're going to run away. But they must be fully dead and the blood drained from their bodies.
5And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. If an animal kills an animal, that animal will be killed, too, and so on. The circle of life began. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.
6“Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made mankind. This is where the death penalty started. You take another mans life, your life is gone, too. You disrespected the life of someone who was created by God, so therefore, you die as well.
7As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.” This would be considered incest now, and because there are so many problems with our DNA and things passed down through families, that's why if we get pregnant by a family member, there will most likely be mutations and health issues. But because of the purity of the family line (just like with Adam and Eve), they were fine multiplying within their family.
8Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9“I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. I just realized this is the first time man didn't name something. God named the rainbow. To my knowledge there had not been a rainbow before. 14Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
17So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.” The rainbow is a covenant with God that there will never again be a worldwide flood that will wipe out all life. Every time he sees the rain falling from the sky, he reminds us of this promise, and He is reminded as well. (Not that He forgets, because he doesn't. It's a metaphoric memory.)
The Sons of Noah
18The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth. All three of Noah's sons repopulated the earth together. All of their descendants spread over the entire earth.
20Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. 21When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. 23But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.
24When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25he said,
“Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”
26He also said,
“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
27May God extend Japheth’s territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”
When Noah woke up from his drunken sleep, to see that two his sons had taken care of him. He cursed the one son, who had only told the other two to help and had not helped himself, and therefore the two other brothers were in charge of him and his people. Canaan became slave to one older brother, and that older brother found solace and warmth in the other brothers' land.
28After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.
Dude, Noah was 600 years old at the time of the flood.

the Bible on "common law marriage"

https://www.gotquestions.org/common-law-marriage.html

Common law marriage is something people made up.
That if you're living together with someone like you're married and it's a long enough time to where the "government" believes it's a solid relationship and it won't change, "Common law" says you are married.

That's the thing.
There's nothing Common about God's law.
God's law clearly states we should not live in the same household or share the same bed or be with each other in the way of marriage until we are blessed and unified in a ceremony.

Now, the hard part about this is that people who are non-believers don't live by God's law.
This is why it's "common law". It's created by people (like I mentioned earlier).

"Although Michigan does not recognize common law marriages, there is a way unmarried couples can protect their rights. This is through a cohabitation agreement, which is very similar to a premarital agreement in the state"
https://www.isfamilylaw.com/does-michigan-recognize-common-law-marriage/

Some states, like mine, don't even recognize common law marriage, but there are ways around it.

Am I a hypocrite?

Yes I am.
And so are you.

Everybody is.
Does that make it okay?
No.. but do we all stumble and sin?
Yes.

A Hypocrite is someone that believes one things, says it out loud, and then does another.
Someone who says "this is my core, this is how I want to live my life, and no other way", but then we stumble and do something we said we wouldn't.

That's why there is grace.
We can't be perfect.
We can't stop ourselves from repeating this cycle.

That doesn't mean we stop trying.
That means that when we do find ourselves in this position, we stop, repent, and try our best to carry on the right path.
The path of our belief.

Isn't saying I'm sorry enough? Clarification of Repentance.

Saying "I'm sorry" has become something people just flip off their wrist like it doesn't matter.
So NO. Saying "I'm sorry" isn't enough.
The two graphics below help to describe and illuminate what Repentance is.

Repentance doesn't mean falling on your face and groveling and "oh dear Holy One, please please please forgive the wrongs I've done". It's not dramatic, it's not romanticized..

It's a true knowledge of the heart that we've messed up, and that we need to talk to our Creator about it.
Yes, He already knows what we did, and He knows that we'll do more in the future.
But the heart of repentance is the heart of God. Knowing that when we mess up, He will forgive us if we bring those sins to Him, and do our best to not repeat what we've promised to stop.

God calling out "others gods"

YES IT DID! God knew that we have a hard time worshipping or believing in something that we can't physically see. That's why He warned us against making idols.

The "gods" that he refers to aren't like Him, though. They are all man-made. He is the only one who is actually real.

Are demons real? Is hell a place? Is 666 a real thing?

https://bitesizebiblestudy.blogspot.com/2016/07/why-does-satan-have-power.html
Let's start by leading in with why God even allows evil to exist.

demon is a supernatural being, typically associated with evil, prevalent historically in religionoccultismliteraturefictionmythology, and folklore; as well as in media such as comicsvideo gamesmovies and television series.

Why is prayer important? And what is it?

Because the reason we pray is because we believe in something higher than ourselves. We know there's something or someone else out there and we need them and/or what they have to offer.

Prayer is a conversation with this higher being.
You can't pray and expect not to have a response back.
Then it isn't praying.
It's begging.. it's making yourself seem better.. it's blasphemous.

So then what is prayer?
It's talking to the God in heaven about things here on earth.
Even though he sees all and hears all and knows all.. He still wants us to acknowledge out loud that we can't handle all of these things on our own. There's just too much, and we're not meant to handle it alone.
We're meant to walk with Him.

How does He respond?
Some people hear Him like a still small voice (this is the Spirit of God).
Sometimes he speaks through other people.. this is a sign that He knows your surroundings and He knows who you'll be in contact with and He knows what you need to hear and what you need constantly.
Sometimes he speaks through words on paper or in music.. this is a sign that He knows you're listening and searching. He knows that you're looking looking for something tangible to show you.

There are many more ways He speaks, but you have to find out more for yourself..
Listen.

Church notes on 9/6/2020 that need to be shared.

Elevation church - Tauren Wells
Expectation and possibility- This is the YEAR.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFlu9SYUHdw

God knows what to do with the dirt.
He made man - out of the dirt.
He made mud and gave a man sight - out of the dirt.
He became flesh and stepped down in the dirt.

God removes what we think it strength.. God is stronger.

We have strength in:
School
Health Care
Economy
Parenting
Perceptions
Marriages
Relationships
----
But one tiny little virus took all of it down to the dirt.
All of the mortal strength that we had in things was stripped away.
Only a name is strong enough - Jesus.

They that wait on the Lord will renew three strength.

An isolated narrative - There's more than one side of the story.
Pain can restrict sight.
It can keep you from seeing the whole picture.
Pain can also produce clarity.

In Isaiah 9:6
12:2
43:2
There was prophecy!
Clarity in pain.

The author of a book is also the finisher.
You life is not over until He writes your final chapter. There's more.

We need to learn to
see Isaiah 6:1
then hear 6:3
then speak 6:5

Sometimes, when we hear scriptures, instead of sharing it with people, we need to stop and apply is to ourselves.
There is no skipping ahead, you gotta work through it.
You have to get down to the altar before you can be on the stage.

Cornerstone - Bishop Michael Pitts
God is one- He's not a man and He's not creation
We are created I His image and likeness - Spirit, Soul and Body
We are 3-in-one

God is indépendant, He exists without consciousness of need. He doesn't need.
He created everything to need something. He didn't create us out of need, he desired us.
We were created out of desire.

God does not matriculate through time.
He created time.
He sees all time equally.
Time. Changes. Things.
God alters things in time.

Omni-science = omniscient
God knows everything. God does not earn or study or take counsel.

Omni - potent = omnipotent
He has potential.
God did not rest because he was tired, He rested because he was finished.
God is not bound by anything. Word, laws, nope.

Omni - present = Omnipresent
He is everywhere all the time.
He fills all time and space, upholding all things by the Word of His power.
Monkeys don't turn into people.
Men don't turn into women.
Fish don't grow feet and become lizards.

How do we serve a God we can't see?
He gave us a thing called faith.

You body is the only thing about you that is physical.
God knows what you want but He wants you to say it out loud.

This is prayer.
This is relationship.
Conversation.
Like other languages, there is a masculine and feminine form.
Wisdom and patience are feminine words.
Faith and spirit are masculine words.
God's forever covenant is with your spirit and the spirit communicates to the soul.
The desire of the soul is to find and learn good and evil.
The soul is feelings.

When someone tries to take you down, when there are many things against you.
God was on your side.
I could see how close I was to falling, there was a slippery slope.
But God is indivisible, independent and always everywhere, on time, with all potential and knows everything. He will never be gone from you.

cigarette's versus vaping

I'm grateful there's something new that can help smokers lessen effects of years of smoking, or to help them wean off little by little, whereas before, it was patches, gum or cold turkey.
I'm grateful in another way, as well. High schoolers and middle schoolers are susceptible to peer pressure, and years ago, it used to be straight tobacco or shew or weed or cigarette's.. now at least the things that they are trying, the "new dangerous things" are locally grown marijuana and a "cigarette" that's less likely to hard them or get them hooked.

There I go, trying to find the rainbow in the storm.

Three potential positive effects highlighted in the January NASEM report found that e-cigarettes may be: Less harmful than traditional cigarettes. Contain fewer numbers and lower levels of toxic substances than traditional cigarettes. May help adults who smoke traditional cigarettes quit or reduce their smoking habit.

But what is clear is that e-cigarettes have been found to have chemicals and particles that have been linked experimentally to lung disease, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Vaping can also cause lung inflammation, which has been linked to chronic lung disease as well.

Vaping Is Less Harmful Than Smoking, but It's Still Not Safe. E-cigarettes heat nicotine (extracted from tobacco), flavorings and other chemicals to create an aerosol that you inhale. Regular tobacco cigarettes contain 7,000 chemicals, many of which are toxic.

Research suggests that vaping, or using e-cigarettes like the Juul to inhale heated vapor, is most likely better for you than smoking, which involves inhaling burned material. Still, e-cigs come with health risks of their own. They are especially dangerous for young people, experts say.
