It's nice to have people from places that I've worked notice me and acknowledge me :-)
This also goes for impressions that you leave when you frequent certain businesses and locations. When you go back are they gonna remember you as somebody who was kind and friendly and helpful, or they gonna remember you as somebody who they really don't want in their establishment?
It makes me realize that they remember who I was, they are still happy to see me, and it's a good reminder that our core values really do rub off on the people that were around. It makes a difference what you believe at how you portray your beliefs.
