what is worship?

hmmm..
most of the time when we think of worship, we think of music at church that makes us lift our hands and close our eyes and say "we love you God".

but is that all?

is that all worship is?

what is worship?

worship is.. people praying to Jesus. prayer is a type of worship (spoked by my oldest daughter).

worship is.. believing. (spoken by my youngest daughter)
when we believe.. we think differently about life.
like when you're on the bus and someone says a cuss word and you tell them to stop..
why would you tell them to stop?
because it's not right.. because it's a sin. we know it's a sin because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and because of what happened in the garden of Eden, and how the devil responded to God telling them not to eat of one tree.. but the serpent tricked them. because they didn't know and they wanted to.
sometimes we do things because we don't know and we want to.
so part of worship is.. listening to that little voice that tells you what's right and wrong.
listening to the Spirit.

worship is.. praising God. (spoke by my middle daughter)
praising him by talking to Him and going to church and by knowing what's right and wrong.

these are children who are brought up in a home that believes the Christianity is the only true history and reality of our faith and culture. that Worship is the way we live.
