Matthew 17:14-20
Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy14When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. 15“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,”Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.”18Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.19Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”20He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”[21]

I'm a mountain mover.

If your faith is strong, you get to speak into the lives of people whose faith is weak.

Corinthians 3- we are God's co-laborers.

"you make a difference"- can you say that to one person?

Every day, we have the opportunity to grow closer with Christ.

Not only did God know you were going to be born, He put something inside of you to do with your life.

Fatalism- no matter what I do, what's going to happen will happen.

John 12:3-8 "I'm speaking to Judas"
3Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.4But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5“Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” 6He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.7 “Leave her alone,”Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.8You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”

You will always have the poor with you
but/vs
we can do something about it.

Deuteronomy 15:7-11
7If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lordyour God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. 8Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need. 9Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: “The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near,” so that you do not show ill will toward the needy among your fellow Israelites and give them nothing. They may then appeal to the Lordagainst you, and you will be found guilty of sin. 10Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lordyour God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. 11There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

it's ok to disagree.

It's never wrong to Err on the side of generosity.
generous with money, time, brains, heart, share whatever God has put into your life.
(marriage, faith, writing, etc)

are we being tight fisted or are we ok with moving and change?

it's always the right time to be generous.

Isaiah 2:2
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
