Sustainable development means something that can sustain its own growth. A city that can sustain its own food sources, infrastructure, provide jobs for its people, etc is a sustainable development.

capable of being supported or upheld, as by having its weight borne from below.
I honestly believe sustainable living is an amazing thing!
If you can find ways to grow your veggies or compost or purchase from other gardens or farms, figure out how to recycle or reuse as much as possible.
